Design Feature 

 1.The LS-2900+ has been designed with all ergonomic considerations in mind. All the components are 

processed with computer controlled numerical machining centers.

2. The specimen retraction function, protects the specimen from blade damage.

3. Electronic Trim/Cut function makes it easy to switch from trim and section mode

4.The LS-2900+ is equipped with a rotation counter function in order to calculate total section pieces and

 total thickness. 

5.The refrigeration system contains one compressor, which is made in Germany, and freezes the 

cryostat chamber and shelf separate with environmentally safe refrigerant (R404). The chamber 

temperature can drop to working condition within 60 minutes after switching the unit on. 

6. Sterilization can be accomplished with UV light within 35 minutes after use. 

7.Peltier may be switched on or off manually.

8.Unit contains heated, removable sliding window.

9. Unit contains two defrost methods: definite time and manual 

10. The high-precision microtome is enclosed outside the cryostat chamber to protect it from thermal 

expansion and contraction and keep minimum service and maintenance. 

11.Self-explanatory symbols for all functions and displays make the unit easy to learn and operate. 

12. LED screen can display data such as sample travel, thickness, function control, day, time,

 temperature and time on/off.

13.Stand by mode, after initialization, the temperature in cryostat chamber can be controlled between -4°C and -9°C by computer automatically; once stopped initializing, the temperature in freeze chamber 

will arrive to working temperature within 10 minutes
